You can have a Claire Luxton experience in Dubai this July

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts Luxury and Lifestyle Collection, has partnered with British artist Claire Luxton to launch a series of immersive guest experiences. Available at various hotels, including the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, until mid-July, these experiences celebrate global travel and exploration through the artistic vision of Claire Luxton.

At the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, the Claire Luxton Experience features a limited-edition suite personally designed by the artist. This suite reflects Luxton’s interpretation of the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts brand, drawing inspiration from her travels and incorporating her signature style of natural flora and fauna alongside multi-sensory elements. Each detail within the suite, from the artwork and lighting to the furnishings, embodies Luxton’s aesthetic and references InterContinental hotels in Japan and Southeast Asia.

Guests can further immerse themselves in the experience with a specially curated bath experience that includes a unique soundscape, scents, and floral elements. The suite also boasts a custom playlist and coffee table books reflecting Luxton’s travels. Those who book this suite at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City will also enjoy a complimentary massage for two at the hotel’s spa.

Luxton shared, “I am delighted to collaborate with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts once again, interpreting the brand’s global perspective. My work draws heavily from worldwide travel, and I hope that is evident in every aspect of this partnership, from the lobby’s floral arrangements and the staff’s custom scarves to the curated bath experience and the artwork itself. Within my work for InterContinental, each flower and animal represents a different hotel or resort from its past, present, or future. When designing these suites and experiences, I wanted to explore the delicate relationship between humanity and nature while celebrating the wonder of travel.”

Luxton’s influence extends beyond the suites. The hotel lobby is adorned with butterflies and vibrant floral installations, representing different InterContinental destinations worldwide. Guests can also enjoy Claire Luxton-inspired food and beverage options, including a special afternoon tea and a curated beverage selection.

Furthermore, hotel staff will be wearing custom silk scarves and pocket squares featuring the Indian Peafowl, a tribute to the InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort.

This collaboration with Claire Luxton coincides with the brand’s 75th anniversary. The Claire Luxton Experience is available at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City from now until July 21, 2022. Guests can make reservations and earn rewards points through the new IHG One Rewards program.
