Many hotels in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East have earned praise from their guests on TripAdvisor. For example, the Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers in Indonesia received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award this year.

Akhmad Fadholi, the hotel’s General Manager, shared that the award was a source of pride for the entire team. He expressed gratitude to past guests who left reviews on TripAdvisor, emphasizing that customer recognition is the best kind of approval. He sees the award as validation of their commitment to providing excellent service.

The Coral Beirut Al Hamra Hotel in Lebanon also received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, highlighting its popularity and high-quality products and services.

General Manager Hartmut Grauel believes the award reflects the team’s dedication to genuine hospitality. He stated that their primary goal is to make every guest feel welcome. The positive feedback on TripAdvisor shows that guests appreciate this warmth, along with the hotel’s prime location, spacious accommodations, private parking, and complimentary internet access.

Now in its fifth year, the award acknowledges outstanding hospitality businesses that consistently receive excellent TripAdvisor reviews. Establishments receiving the award for five consecutive years earn a place in TripAdvisor’s Hall of Fame.

The Grand Millennium Dubai recently achieved Hall of Fame status, a distinction earned by only 9% of eligible businesses in 2015. Peter Mansourian, the hotel’s General Manager, considered the accolade a welcome achievement during a demanding year. With restaurant renovations and increased competition from new hotels in Dubai, they’ve had to maintain high standards. He believes earning the Certificate of Excellence for the fifth consecutive year, and subsequently joining the Hall of Fame, proves their dedication to providing excellent service and meeting the needs of both business and leisure travelers.

Marriott Executive Apartments in Bangkok, including Mayfair-Chidlom, Sathorn Vista, and Sukhumvit Park, also entered the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame.

David Lance, General Manager of Marriott Executive Apartments Sukhumvit Park Bangkok, shared that receiving the award for five years in a row and joining the Hall of Fame is a source of pride for the team. They are grateful to all guests who took the time to share their experiences over the past five years. Their motto, “you don’t stay here, you live here,” reflects their dedication to providing outstanding service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, even if they are only staying for one night. Lance sees the consistent positive feedback as a testament to their commitment to excellence and a powerful vote of confidence from their guests.

Certificate of Excellence awardees comprise accommodations, dining establishments, and attractions worldwide that continuously deliver exceptional customer service.

TripAdvisor employs a special formula to choose the winners. This formula considers the quality, quantity, and timeliness of reviews submitted by travelers over a year. It also factors in the business’s longevity and popularity ranking on the site. To be eligible, a business must maintain an average TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews, and have been listed on TripAdvisor for a minimum of 12 months.

Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business, expressed the company’s satisfaction in acknowledging exceptional businesses consistently praised by travelers on their platform. By highlighting establishments focused on outstanding customer service, TripAdvisor aims to raise hospitality standards globally while enabling businesses of all sizes to gain recognition and stand out from competitors.

TripAdvisor is the world’s most extensive travel website, with 45 localized platforms in 28 languages. It boasts over 225 million reviews and opinions covering nearly five million hotels and other accommodations, restaurants, and attractions.
