According to the principles of fengshui, certain times are more auspicious than others for making significant life choices and improving potential outcomes.

Dato’ Joey Yap, the creator of the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics, emphasizes the importance of timing: “Timing is truly everything. The concept that some days are better suited for specific activities is not complicated. To maximize your time and achieve desired results, you must consider the crucial aspect of dates.”

He elaborates on how date selection can identify the most advantageous days for common life events:

Choosing a Date for a Fresh Start

“It’s not unusual for people to feel stuck after a major professional or personal setback,” Dato’ Yap notes. “However, to live a fulfilling life, it’s essential to pick yourself up and strive for improvement.”

“For this purpose, ‘Initiate Days’ are excellent for new beginnings. As the name implies, these days are generally ideal for starting something new.”

“Such days are even more auspicious when the Mound Star is present, as it’s highly favorable for important personal endeavors and one of the rare stars without any drawbacks.”

‘Initiate Days’ are one of twelve categories of days considered ideal for specific actions. The ‘Mound Star’ is one of nine stars in fengshui, influencing the timing of events and representing the movement of celestial bodies and their impact on Earth and humanity.

Choosing a Date for a Smoother Surgery

“Having surgery on the right day can accelerate recovery, among other benefits,” explains Dato’ Yap. “For relatively minor procedures, a ‘Success Day’ is the best option. For surgeries involving removal, such as a cyst or appendix, ‘Remove Days’ are more suitable.”

“If those options aren’t available, ‘Stable Days’ are a less ideal but acceptable alternative, as they possess favorable energy for planned or scheduled activities.”

In fengshui, qi represents life force or energy.

Choosing a Date to Remove Toxic People From Your Life

“Remove Days” are also suitable for ending unhealthy relationships, says Yap. “However, it’s crucial to handle the situation without resentment or lingering negativity. Choosing a ‘Remove Day’ that coincides with the ‘Heavenly Virtue Noble Star’ is beneficial, as it promotes peace and infuses the process with positive energies,” he adds.

“Alternatively, the presence of the Net Star can also facilitate a relatively amicable separation, as it encourages harmonious outcomes and peaceful dialogue.”

Noble stars are believed to be particularly fortunate, as they contribute to favorable results.

Choosing a Date to Request a Raise

“‘Success Days’ and ‘Open Days’ are generally favorable for salary negotiations,” Dato’ Yap advises. “While ‘Success Days’ are superior, ‘Open Days’ can be effective because they make people more receptive to your perspective.”

“The presence of the ‘Horn Star,’ which always falls on a Thursday (though not every Thursday), enhances the chances of a positive outcome, as it brings wealth and good fortune.”

He cautions against certain days: “Regardless of your plans, it’s generally advisable to avoid ‘Year Breaker,’ ‘Month Breaker,’ and ‘Personal Breaker’ days, as their energies can hinder success or create obstacles. Keep this in mind to optimize your chances of success.”
