Source: Dubai Chamber. HH Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum acknowledged the recipients of the 10th Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award and the 2nd MRM Business Innovation Award in Dubai, UAE.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, as well as Chairman & Chief Executive of the Emirates Airline & Group, presided over the ceremony, which was held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The MRM Business Award is an initiative of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The following companies were recognized:

Gulf Petrochemicals Industries Co. (GPIC) received the Outstanding Award for Business Excellence and ENOC Retail was given the Outstanding Award for Business Innovation.
HE Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy and Chairman of the judging panels for the MRM Business Award and MRM Business Innovation Award, commented that the awards have promoted a culture of excellence within business communities in the UAE and GCC, supported the implementation of best practices and elevated industry standards. He emphasized that the MRM Business Innovation Award, launched in 2015 by Dubai Chamber and the UAE Ministry of Economy during the Year of Innovation, demonstrates the UAE leadership’s vision of encouraging businesses to integrate innovation into their organizational cultures.
HE Al Mansoori stated that participation in the second cycle of the MRM Business Innovation Award increased by 21%, demonstrating the significance companies place on innovation excellence in the region.

HE Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated that since the inception of the MRM Business Awards program, efforts have been made to develop and refine it to meet the evolving needs of the maturing business communities in the UAE and GCC. He added that he was extremely proud of the progress made by the exceptional companies participating in the program.
Dubai Chamber’s Chairman elaborated that the awards have acted as a catalyst to improve business performance and increase innovation in the region. He revealed that more than 1,800 companies have participated in the awards program since its inception, and 181 winning companies have been acknowledged for their significant achievements.
During the ceremony, HE Al Ghurair introduced the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Customer Excellence Award, a new award category within the MRM Business Awards platform. This award will recognize outstanding companies and organizations in the UAE and GCC that are implementing innovative strategies to enhance customer experiences.
HE Al Ghurair indicated that the MRM Customer Excellence Award will provide additional incentive for companies to participate in the MRM Business Award program, improve their customer focus and implement international best practices. He explained that the award stems from a strong belief that customer experience is a critical factor affecting business performance.
HE Hamad Buamim, President & CEO of Dubai Chamber and Chairman of the Steering Committee for the MRM Business Award, stated that over the years, the MRM Business Awards have become the standard for business and innovation excellence and they continue to be the highest form of recognition in these areas in the GCC. He added that with UAE Innovation Month starting, it was a perfect time to recognize the outstanding companies driving innovation across many economic sectors.
HE Buamim pointed out that Dubai Chamber received a significant number of competitive applications for both awards, with a 46% increase overall. He said that the awards support Dubai Chamber’s efforts to achieve the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, VP and PM of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to lead the business community to a brighter future.
