From September 7th to 8th, 2016, Singapore will be the site of the Millennial 20/20 APAC Summit. This two-day event will feature discussions centered around understanding the millennial consumer, with over 130 speakers, interactive exhibits, 50 panel discussions, and 24 keynote presentations and interviews.

Rupa Ganatra, Founding Partner of Millennial 20/20, emphasizes the rapid changes in the marketplace driven by millennials, stating that the summit will be crucial for brands to adapt and remain relevant in this influential movement.

Singapore, known for its global connectivity and business innovation resources, will be the first Asian city and the second globally to host the summit. Over 1,500 brands, companies, founders, and startups will convene to explore the future of commerce across four key industries: travel and hospitality, food and beverage, fitness and sport, and fashion and beauty.

Founding Partner Simon Berger highlights Singapore’s robust infrastructure, communities, and innovation capabilities as key factors in choosing the city. He notes its progressive environment and leading role in disruptive technologies, making it an ideal location to launch the Millennial 20/20 Summit.

Summit discussions will focus on the evolving business landscape shaped by the millennial generation, emphasizing innovation, disruption, and technology. Key pillars include retail, marketing, mobile, payments, video, social, e-commerce, customer relationship management (CRM), advertising, and big data, aligning with Singapore’s vision of economic transformation through technological innovation and enterprise.

The summit boasts an impressive speaker panel with local and international industry leaders from companies like Hilton Hotels, City Football, Mondelez, One Championship, Unilever, Decathlon, Zalora Global Fashion Group, Sephora Digital, GRAB, Facebook, Instagram, and Netflix.

Session topics cover a wide range of relevant themes, such as building brands in an ad-free world, engaging with the next generation consumer, redefining the hotel experience for modern travelers, success stories in the billion-dollar industry, space tourism innovation, engaging 21st-century football fans, and the changing landscape of food consumption and delivery.

A key highlight is the ‘store of the future’ experiential showcase presented by Accenture, titled The World of ME. This interactive playground will allow visitors to experience innovative products and services, test ideas, and participate in live events.

Unilever partners with Millennial 20/20 to showcase 25 innovative startups in areas like retail, media, brand and content, social impact, and data. The selected startups will have the opportunity to connect with Unilever marketing leaders through a ‘speed-dating’ format.

Millennial 20/20 features 20 showcase exhibitors, including companies like Dynamic Yield, StoryStream, Cash Shield, Baozun, Spotify for Brands, BrandTone, Happy Marketer, Sizmek, Carpal, Agility Research, and What3Words. These companies represent a diverse range of industries and specializations, highlighting the breadth of the summit’s reach.
