Fragment.in, a Swiss design interaction studio, created a computer orchestra controlled by gestures. Hand movements are recognized by a Kinect, which then controls audio from multiple computers. The sound is emitted through Jabra SPEAK 810 devices.
Jabra, a company specializing in audio and communications technology, has launched the SPEAK 810. This new conference speakerphone offers high-quality call experiences to enhance meeting collaboration.
Retailing at US$599, the Jabra SPEAK 810 addresses common obstacles to effective collaboration. These include setup problems, platform connectivity issues, and subpar sound quality. The Jabra SPEAK 810 is a plug-and-play speakerphone that provides excellent sound quality for large meeting and conference rooms. It complements the personal experience offered by its smaller, portable counterparts, the SPEAK 410 and 510. With various connectivity choices, including USB and a 3.5mm jack, the Jabra SPEAK 810 seamlessly integrates with all communication platforms. This eliminates the need for dial pads and challenges the conventional hardware-dependent approach to conference calling.
Integration with all communication platforms eliminates the need for an IP endpoint, further enhancing user-friendliness. Additionally, the USB charge-out port enables charging tablets or mobile devices during calls.
“Microsoft values its ongoing partnership with Jabra to ensure their products are fully compatible with Microsoft Skype for Business,” stated Giovanni Mezgec, Microsoft GM of Skype for Business. “The Jabra SPEAK 810 exemplifies this successful collaboration.”

Currently, a third of conference calls face delays due to connection and speakerphone setup issues, 15% of meeting time is wasted on ‘getting started,’ and poor sound quality is a prevalent frustration*. The Jabra SPEAK 810 builds upon Jabra’s expertise in office audio solutions, ear-related diagnostics, and hearing healthcare technology. It facilitates conference calls in meeting rooms of up to 100 sq m, accommodating 15 or more people. The device delivers clear audio while minimizing unwanted background noise. This plug-and-play speakerphone boasts powerful speakers and incorporates Jabra’s innovative ZoomTalk technology. ZoomTalk is an intelligent directional microphone that prioritizes sound from human voices.
Holger Reisinger, Head of Business Solutions at Jabra, remarked: “Businesses are increasingly prioritizing work environments and cultures that bolster their competitiveness. This has resulted in office environments that are more dynamic, demanding, and technology-driven. While new work styles bring flexibility to workspaces, practices, and hours, productivity remains crucial for business success. Therefore, enabling effective collaboration and concentration is essential.”
Mark Leigh, President Asia Pacific of Jabra, stated, “Jabra recognizes and is dedicated to enhancing audio’s role in fostering collaboration, concentration, and productive meetings, regardless of location.”
