Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore reported a queue of over a thousand people awaiting the launch of the HUAWEI Mate 20 series.

The first person in line, Kishore Lal, arrived at six in the morning and is a first-time Huawei user. He shared, “I’ve read many positive reviews about Huawei smartphones and their camera quality, so I decided to try one.”

“The Mate 20 Pro’s new features, like Reverse Wireless Charging and the Leica triple camera, are unlike anything I’ve seen on other phones, and I’m really excited about them.”

The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro boasts 15 W HUAWEI Wireless Quick Charge, which Huawei claims is the fastest wireless charging technology in the industry. The Wireless Reverse Charge feature allows the phone to function as a power bank for other Qi-compatible devices.

Huawei has become known for the exceptional photography capabilities of its phones. The Mate 20 includes the new Leica Triple Camera system, featuring ultra-wide-angle, wide-angle, and telephoto lenses, along with a dual-tone flash.

Aeron Chang and his wife, Shijia, attended the launch to upgrade their phones to the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro. Aeron commented, “I used the Mate 10 last year and was impressed by its battery life. I’ve been keeping up with the news and updates on the Mate 20 Pro and was eager to experience it myself, especially the new ultra-wide-angle lens.”

Huawei has been gaining global popularity, surpassing Apple to become the world’s second-largest smartphone vendor in the second quarter of 2018. Locally, sales have increased threefold year-over-year.

Cheng Jiangfei, MD of Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore, remarked, “The incredible turnout for our Mate 20 Series launch underscores our standing as a global brand in the market. We are truly humbled and appreciative of the growing support from our Singaporean customers.”

“The Mate 20 Series ushers in an era of heightened intelligence, equipped with unprecedented innovations. We are confident that this will captivate those seeking a cutting-edge smartphone.”
