Samsung Electronics has released the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G, incorporating the latest technology to provide a comprehensive mobile experience at an affordable price. These new Galaxy A series phones boast 5G connectivity, robust security features, and a sleek, eco-conscious design. They’re powered by a new processor, include Samsung’s AI camera, a large, responsive display, and a long-lasting battery.

Continuing the theme of “awesomeness,” both devices support ongoing One UI and Android OS upgrades and security updates1. The Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G also offer an enhanced camera experience, packed with many powerful and entertaining features found in the Galaxy S series.
The Galaxy A53 5G has a quad-camera system featuring a 64MP optically stabilized (OIS) camera with VDIS technology for clear, steady photos. Meanwhile, a high-resolution 32MP front-facing camera ensures excellent selfies and video calls. Similarly, the Galaxy A33 5G sports a quad-camera system with a 48MP OIS main camera.
At the heart of the new Galaxy A series is a brand-new 5nm processor. This processor, coupled with the AI-powered camera, ensures stunning photos even in low light. Improved Night mode combines up to 12 images for brighter, less noisy nighttime shots. The Galaxy A series automatically adjusts the frame rate when filming in low light, resulting in clear and bright videos.
The improved Portrait mode uses dual cameras and AI for more precise depth and subject outlines. Fun mode elevates moments with playful filters and effects, now compatible with the ultra-wide lens. Revive old or low-quality photos with Photo Remaster, and eliminate unwanted background elements using Object Eraser.
While bright sunlight used to hinder smartphone screen visibility, the Galaxy A series’ intelligent algorithm ensures a clear and detailed display even outdoors. The Galaxy A53 5G features a 6.5"2 Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for a truly immersive experience. The Galaxy A33 5G boasts a 6.4"3 Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The new Galaxy A series also offers a long-lasting battery and 25W Super Fast Charging4, allowing for extended viewing, streaming, and more.
The design of the new Galaxy A series emphasizes style, functionality, and sustainability. The phone’s slim bezels create a polished look, while the Ambient Edge design seamlessly integrates the camera into the phone’s body. Constructed with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G boast IP675 water and dust resistance for enhanced durability.
Samsung consistently pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with technology and remains dedicated to resourcefully utilizing the planet’s resources. Galaxy for the Planet embodies Samsung’s commitment to implementing tangible environmental actions to contribute to a healthier planet by 2025. The Galaxy A53 5G will be available in Singapore starting April 1, 202211. The Galaxy A33 5G will be released on April 22, 2022. Both devices will be available for purchase through local telecommunication operators (M1, Singtel, and StarHub), the Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, the Samsung Official Store in Lazada and Shopee, Amazon, major consumer electronics & IT stores, and select authorized mobile retailers.

Launching in Singapore on April 22, 2022, the Galaxy A13 LTE joins the Galaxy A Series. Complementing the stylish designs of the new Galaxy A series, a new Onyx colorway for the Galaxy Buds2 and Buds Live will launch in Singapore from April 2022 onwards.
