The Burj Al Arab Terrace, located in Dubai’s most famous hotel, is a unique combination of a restaurant, pool, beach, and cabana area. Constructed using innovative marine and off-site methods, this structure represents a world-first. Marine construction experts ADMARES developed the terrace at a shipyard in Finland, transporting it to Dubai in eight separate sections by ship. This approach minimized any negative impact on hotel guests, the ocean floor, and marine life.

This exclusive 10,000 square meter (approximately 107,640 square feet) outdoor luxury leisure space extends 100 meters (approximately 328 feet) into the sea and houses Scape Restaurant & Bar, two pools, cabanas with dedicated butler service, a beach area, and luxurious sunbeds for daytime relaxation.

Anthony McHale, General Manager of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, stated: “As the world’s most luxurious hotel, Burj Al Arab continuously strives to enhance guest experience through cutting-edge facilities. Burj Al Arab Terrace embodies the ultimate destination for indulgence, socialization, and relaxation, further signifying our commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

“The Burj Al Arab Terrace stands as our most ambitious project since the hotel’s inception. It is globally unprecedented in hotel construction, showcasing a groundbreaking blend of inventive marine design, ingenious engineering, and guest-centric planning. Announced in January with its arrival from Finland by ship, our construction and design teams have since transformed our vision into a truly remarkable reality.”

Stefan Leser, Group Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah Group, remarked: “The Burj Al Arab Terrace establishes itself as a new Dubai landmark, embodying innovation and exceptional engineering. A true masterpiece of design and architecture, it strengthens Dubai’s position as a premier destination and a forerunner in global hospitality. We take immense pride in delivering such a distinctive experience, one that will greatly enrich the enjoyment of our Burj Al Arab guests.”

The terrace’s design echoes the shape of the Burj Al Arab. Its color scheme incorporates earthy tones and pristine whites, emphasizing the contrasting hues of the natural world. High-quality glass features prominently throughout the space, most notably in the handcrafted lighting installations of Scape Restaurant & Bar.

The design also incorporates a 612 square meter (6,588 square foot) freshwater pool and an 828 square meter (8,914 square foot) saltwater infinity pool. Ten million mosaic tiles in shades of blue and gold adorn the pools, while 1,000 tons of white sand create the beach area. Within the pools are four Jacuzzis and a swim-up bar.

Scape Restaurant and Bar

Head Chef Timur Fazilov presents a menu of Californian fusion-style dishes, while the outdoor bar provides an ideal alfresco setting for guests to enjoy a diverse selection of drinks from around the world.

Cabanas

Available to both hotel guests and members, the 32 fully air-conditioned cabanas offer panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab Terrace, and the Dubai skyline. The 24 cabanas and eight Royal Cabanas can each accommodate up to four guests and offer poolside amenities such as dedicated butler service, dining, beverage and bar menus, spa services, fully stocked minibars, fresh fruit, espresso machines, Bang & Olufsen televisions, and a rotating selection of four to six amenities daily. The eight Royal Cabanas further elevate the experience with a private bathroom, shower area, and veranda.
