Leveraging Tata Communications’ robust global network, jamvee consolidates various client software and devices into a single, secure, and versatile platform. This approach streamlines communication and collaboration within and across organizations, allowing employees, suppliers, and customers to connect seamlessly using any combination of audio, video, messaging, and content sharing tools, regardless of their device or browser.

Jamvee facilitates real-time communication and presence awareness through SIP and XMPP protocols, ensuring compatibility with major enterprise communication clients. A jamvee subscription grants organizations access to a shared meeting space for both internal and external collaborations, enhancing communication opportunities while simplifying administrative and security processes. The platform’s delivery and hosting by Tata Communications guarantee the high level of security, quality, and global reach that only a top-tier network provider can offer.

Beyond traditional video conferencing and telepresence, jamvee empowers participants joining virtual meetings from their enterprise clients to utilize its comprehensive audio, video, chat, and content sharing features. Moreover, jamvee accommodates participants joining through web browsers, providing a simple plugin solution for those without WebRTC-native browsers. Dedicated apps are also available for Android and iOS devices.

He highlights jamvee’s role in taking interoperability to the next level, offering a customizable foundation for future unified communications features. This allows companies to fully leverage the growth potential of unified communications on their own terms.
Bill Haskins, Senior Analyst and Partner at Wainhouse Research, points out the growing need for integrating UC-enabled desktops with existing systems and expanding business-to-business federation. He sees Tata Communications’ jamvee as directly addressing these needs. As a service delivered through Tata Communications’ global network, jamvee provides turnkey provisioning and quality service without the need for additional equipment or installations.

Tata Communications collaborated with technology partners such as Acano and Synergy SKY to develop this enhanced jamvee platform. It now incorporates an always-available collaborative workspace where teams can connect virtually, exchange documents, and share video in real-time. These persistent jamvee rooms serve as secure spaces where messages remain readily accessible within the platform.

OJ Winge, CEO of Acano, highlights jamvee’s unique blend of user-friendliness, interoperability, and the reliability of Tata Communications’ network. He believes that jamvee’s collaborative capabilities will benefit colleagues, suppliers, and customers across organizations worldwide.
