Sofitel, the luxury hotel brand under AccorHotels, has launched its newest property, Sofitel Kunming. Located in the city center, it’s the only international luxury hotel in Kunming.

Situated in Kunming’s central business district, the 400-room hotel spans the 27th to 52nd floors. It showcases a blend of French elegance and art de vivre with touches of Yunnan’s vibrant ethnic cultures and customs.

Sofitel Kunming is conveniently located near popular attractions like Nanping Walking Street, the East and West Pagodas, Green Lake, Dianchi Lake, and the shopping district. The hotel also provides easy access to both the Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Centre and the New Kunming Dianchi International Convention & Exhibition Centre. It’s a quick 35-minute drive from Kunming Changshui International Airport.

Guest rooms feature the signature Sofitel MyBed, designed for a restful sleep, as well as a wireless sound system, a large-screen TV, and Wi-Fi access. Each room has unique designs drawing inspiration from the peacock, a symbol of Yunnan’s Dai minority, and features handcrafted leather wall coverings.

The hotel is also home to three distinct restaurants. Le Chinois Chinese Restaurant offers Yunnan, Cantonese, and Sichuan cuisine, while Kwee Zeen presents a selection of Chinese, international, and French favorites with live cooking stations. Lan Pan Asian Restaurant specializes in Southeast Asian and Japanese dishes.

For corporate events and meetings, the hotel features a grand ballroom without pillars, accommodating up to 800 guests. Additionally, there are eight meeting rooms. An outdoor garden and a rooftop venue on the 52nd floor offer stunning mountain and lake views.
