Singtel has introduced a new digital advisor, developed by UOB Asset Management (UOBAM), on its Dash e-wallet platform. This launch expands Dash’s selection of financial services, which already encompasses payments, international money transfers, insurance, savings, and investments.

UOBAM Robo-Invest is the first robo-advisor in Singapore available on a mobile wallet and stands out by offering sustainable investing options created by UOBAM specifically for Dash users. This robo-advisor is designed to achieve consistent long-term portfolio growth through a combined investment approach.

Dash users can begin investing with UOBAM Robo-Invest with as little as S$1 and benefit from competitive yearly advisory fees ranging from 0.60% to 0.80%. Using the robo-advisor, they can create a customized, adaptable portfolio tailored to their risk tolerance, overall financial aspirations, and investment timeframe.

UOBAM Robo-Invest presents two unique portfolio choices: the Global and Global Impact portfolios. These portfolios invest in a mix of actively-managed and passively-managed exchange-traded funds spread across various sectors and geographic regions. Notably, UOBAM’s Global Impact portfolio caters to investors looking to increase their wealth responsibly and sustainably. It achieves this by providing investment opportunities in companies that prioritize environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in their business practices.

A recent UOB survey* revealed that eight out of ten respondents in Singapore desire more ESG-focused investment choices. This highlights a desire to positively impact the environment and society while achieving financial gains.

The partnership between Singtel and UOBAM, an Asian asset manager with over three decades of investment expertise, grants consumers easy access to budget-friendly wealth management solutions driven by technology. This aligns with Dash’s objective of empowering users to grow their wealth simply and effectively.

Gilbert Chuah, Head of Financial and Lifestyle Services at Consumer Singapore, Singtel, stated, “We aim to make finance accessible to everyone by using technology to offer a comprehensive suite of high-quality services. This new investment service reflects our dedication to simplifying wealth management and making it affordable and convenient for Dash users. Customers can also benefit from the investment knowledge of an asset manager with a proven history of maximizing returns."

He added, “We are excited to collaborate with UOBAM and other reputable ecosystem partners to introduce more pertinent and connected financial and lifestyle products on Dash in the near future.”

Faizal Gaffoor, Group CMO of UOBAM, commented, “Our partnership with Singtel signifies progress in how we deliver robo-advisory solutions to consumers. By integrating UOBAM Robo-Invest within the mobile wallet, we are providing Dash users with effortless access to the professional investment knowledge and expertise we have accumulated over more than three decades."

He further explained, “They can build their portfolios with just a few taps and embark on their journey toward achieving their personal financial goals. In building a sustainable future, we are also pleased to partner with Singtel, a like-minded organization, to help their customers invest for both profit and purpose. We will continue to expand our range of services and solutions and collaborate with more partners to make investing more accessible and sustainable.”

Currently, Dash boasts approximately 1.2 million users and is accessible to all individuals regardless of their mobile provider or banking affiliation.
