Singtel just launched its latest flagship store, Singtel Shop 313@Somerset, in the middle of Orchard Road. This 4,900 square foot space showcases cutting-edge retail technology to create an enhanced customer experience for shopping, creating, and entertainment. This new store represents Singtel Singapore’s renewed dedication to improving the customer experience.

The launch is significant for Singtel, as the company has been located at the Comcentre for 22 years. To honor the history of the previous store, some items were repurposed, such as furniture in the customer service area. These items and other environmentally friendly features like energy-efficient fixtures and e-waste recycling bins show Singtel’s commitment to being carbon neutral by 2045.

Ng Tian Chong, CEO of Singtel Singapore, said, “We designed every part of this store to be completely customer-centric, because our customers are our number one priority. We are utilizing technological tools like data analytics to better understand our customers’ needs so we can provide the best products and services with the least amount of friction. We want every person who visits our store to feel valued and empowered.”

The store caters to both individuals and small businesses seeking mobile, broadband, and cybersecurity solutions. Service processes have been streamlined using the latest digital technology, such as predictive analytics, to reduce wait times and offer more customization. Trained staff are also available throughout the store to provide on-site support.

There is a livestreaming booth for content creators and business owners to utilize, as well as spaces for partners to engage with customers and educate them on products and services. To appeal to Millennials and Gen Z, the store will feature the first TikTok Creator House in a telco shop worldwide. This professional, soundproof studio is outfitted with 4K HD cameras, wireless microphones, and custom-built production servers for high-quality content creation. The space is open to the public and available to book on Singtel’s website.

The store also features CASETiFY’s latest line of sustainable and protective phone cases and accessories, including a limited-edition collection by Singaporean photographer Andy Yong, a first in Singapore. Fans of the brand can create custom pieces in just one day.

“We’ve redesigned the store for young people and the growing digital native community, who can use the tools, products, and facilities available to express themselves creatively. People pursuing social media careers can even build their brand or services here. When people visit, it won’t just be a shopping trip, it will be an experience – a place where they can connect, collaborate and co-create,” said Anna Yip, Deputy CEO of Singtel Singapore.

Getting helped in the store has been made easier, too. Visitors can scan a QR code to join the queue and browse the e-catalogue while they wait. Customers can note which products and services they are interested in, which allows Singtel staff to tailor the interaction to their needs.

The store also features floor-to-ceiling curved LED screens, which project different moods depending on what is being showcased. The multipurpose space in the center of the store can also be modified to accommodate product launches, keynote speeches, and even public masterclasses.

The Singtel flagship store remains the only location to offer all business-related services in one place. A dedicated small and medium sized business (SMB) service area provides solutions such as mobile, broadband, and cybersecurity to support corporate needs.
