Singtel will broadcast the Copa America Centenario USA 2016. This competition is the oldest international tournament for nations in the Americas and features top players like Alexis Sanchez, Lionel Messi, and Luis Suárez. This year, for the first time, the tournament will be hosted outside of South America.

Goh Seow Eng, Managing Director, Home, Consumer Singapore, Singtel, stated that combining Copa America 2016 and UEFA Euro 2016 broadcasts allows Singtel to provide fans with two of the most exciting football events globally.

This announcement follows Singtel’s announcement earlier in the week that it had secured broadcast rights for the 2016 UEFA European Championship. This prominent competition features top players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, and Gerard Pique.

Goh previously stated that fans could anticipate more exciting football action after the conclusion of the Barclays Premier League season in May, with the UEFA Euro 2016 featuring the top European teams. He added that Singtel TV is “thrilled” to offer complete live coverage of this world-class tournament, calling Singtel TV the “Home of Football.”

Singtel announced that the opening match, one semi-final match, and the final UEFA EURO 2016 match will be available via live stream nationwide for free to anyone who downloads the Singtel TV GO app.

Goh explained that Singtel wanted to share the excitement of UEFA Euro 2016, which will be larger this year with more teams and matches.

This is the first year that 24 European national teams, including Iceland, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, and Wales, will compete in UEFA Euro 2016, alongside favorites like Germany, England, Spain, and Italy.

Singtel’s Football Fever 2016 Pack will offer complete coverage of 51 live UEFA Euro 2016 matches and 32 Copa America Centenario 2016 live matches in High Definition.

Existing Football Fever 2016 Pack subscribers will have access to complete Copa America Centenario 2016 coverage on the Football Fever channels for no extra charge. The Football Fever 2016 Pack is also offered for a one-time fee of S$88*.

Customers who sign up for or renew their Trio, Variety, or Value packs for 24 months will have access to Copa America 2016 and UEFA Euro 2016 at no additional charge. Existing Singtel TV customers can renew** their current subscriptions with a Trio Pack, Variety Pack, or Value Pack on a 24-month contract to gain access to UEFA Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario 2016 coverage for free. There will not be early termination fees for customers currently in a Singtel TV contract. However, early termination fees will apply for customers who downgrade to a lower-priced package.

As a bonus, these customers can watch every match in both tournaments for free using the Singtel TV GO app. With the app, customers can watch live Copa America 2016 matches during the day and UEFA Euro 2016 games live at night on their mobile devices. The app also provides access to match schedules and replays.

Customers who sign up for or renew** a mio Stadium+ package, including those on the cable TV platform, for 24 months can view the matches from either tournament on their mobile devices using the Singtel TV GO app or can stream the matches directly to their TVs through the app’s Chromecast and AirPlay features.

Existing Singtel TV customers who have a mio Stadium+ Pack subscription can renew** their subscriptions with the mio Stadium+ Pack on a 24-month contract to receive complete coverage of UEFA Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario 2016 on the Singtel TV GO app. There will not be early termination fees for customers currently within a Singtel TV contract. These customers, along with customers who have legacy content packs, can access the Football Fever 2016 Pack for free by upgrading to any Value Pack with a 24-month contract.

StarHub customers may also sign up for or renew a mio Stadium+ pack for 24 months.

Singtel has been steadily expanding its selection of sports channels. For example, last July, Singtel launched four new channels: Eleven, Eleven Sports, Eurosport, and Eurosport News. Customers can stay up-to-date on the latest football action for major competitions like the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Serie A, and FA Cup.
