Companies from Singapore expanding their business into China now have access to a centralized service platform with the recent launch of the Singapore Centre at the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (SSGKC). Known as Singapore Centre @SSGKC (Singapore Centre), this resource hub is situated within Ascendas OneHub GKC, an all-inclusive business park located within the SSGKC.
The Singapore Centre consolidates key agencies and resources from both China and Singapore to offer comprehensive assistance for Singaporean companies investing in China. It will be managed by the business space solutions company Ascendas, with support from entities such as IE Singapore, SSGKC Administrative Committee, Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment and Development Co., (GKC) and Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE). These organizations will assist with investment consulting, government liaison, business networking, and simplified company registration and establishment processes.
Businesses can also utilize various workspaces, including ready-to-use facilities, that Ascendas provides at competitive prices. These resources aim to smooth the process of entering and expanding within the Chinese market. Currently, Singaporean companies like Nicolabs, a health supplement manufacturer, and Dentalthon, the company behind MBrace clear dental aligners, have already established operations in Ascendas OneHub GKC.
Chin Phei Chen, CEO of GKC, stated, “The Singapore Centre’s opening is well-timed with SSGKC’s preparation to welcome its first wave of businesses setting up operations in OneHub. We aim to position SSGKC as the top choice for Singaporean businesses entering the South China market through this initiative.”

SSGKC is a joint project developed by the Singbridge Group (Singbridge), a part of the Ascendas-Singbridge Group, and the Guangzhou Development District (GDD). The merger of Ascendas and Singbridge in June of this year created Ascendas-Singbridge, combining the strengths of two industry leaders. Focusing on key sectors such as information and communication technology (ICT), biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, clean technology, next-generation materials, culture and creative industries, and science and education services, SSGKC will eventually support a population of 500,000.
Located centrally within SSGKC, Ascendas OneHub GKC is Ascendas’ flagship integrated business park in Guangzhou. It encompasses business and commercial areas alongside upscale residential and lifestyle amenities. Upon completion, Ascendas OneHub GKC will boast a built-up area of 600,000 square meters.
