OCBC Securities has introduced a new mobile app called iOCBC TradeMobile for iPhone users. Existing OCBC Securities customers can now conveniently monitor their stock portfolios and access real-time market data for their stocks using Apple’s Touch ID technology. This fingerprint authentication feature, known as OneTouch, offers both OCBC Bank and OCBC Securities customers a secure and convenient way to access their banking and brokerage accounts.
The iOCBC TradeMobile app offers several features, including stock charting capabilities, a personalized home screen, and a dual language function that allows users to switch between English and Chinese. The app is designed to provide a user-friendly way to access market data and execute trades seamlessly.
The OneTouch fingerprint authentication feature has also been expanded to benefit a larger group of banking customers. Since early April, it has been incorporated into the Android version of the OCBC Mobile Banking app. This makes OCBC the first bank in Singapore to offer a banking app that supports fingerprint authentication for Android smartphones. Customers with compatible Samsung phone models featuring fingerprint recognition technology and running Android 4.4 KitKat or newer can now enjoy immediate access to their banking information. This includes account balances, credit card details, rewards summaries, due dates, credit limits, and investment information, all at their fingertips.
These advancements highlight the OCBC Group’s dedication to digitizing financial services, simplifying access for customers, and enhancing user experience. Raymond Chee, Managing Director of OCBC Securities, stated, “With the new iOCBC TradeMobile app, our customers now have comprehensive, real-time information about the markets and their portfolios readily available, which will undoubtedly empower them to make more informed investment decisions. In the past three years alone, the number of trades our customers execute monthly through our mobile app has nearly doubled. This makes it even more crucial for us to continuously drive digital innovations that improve our customers’ mobile experience.”
Since its launch a year ago, the OCBC Mobile Banking app for iPhones has been accessed through the OneTouch feature approximately five million times. Yvonne Cheong, OCBC Bank’s Head of Internet and Mobile Banking in Singapore, remarked, “Our customers appreciate the ease and speed of accessing their banking accounts on the move, whether it’s to check their incoming salary credits or to monitor outgoing payments. Usage has increased rapidly by over five times since its introduction. We are thrilled to bring the OCBC OneTouch service to Android phone users for the first time in Singapore, demonstrating our commitment to leveraging smart digital innovation to make banking simpler and more accessible than ever for our customers.”
