Impact Hub, the largest coworking and entrepreneur-building community in Singapore, has partnered with Google for Entrepreneurs as its first tech hub partner in Southeast Asia. This collaboration grants Impact Hub Singapore members access to Google for Entrepreneurs’ global network and resources, encompassing numerous coworking spaces and community programs across 135 countries.
Impact Hub Singapore is dedicated to fostering startup growth by offering comprehensive support, ranging from coworking space to essential resources and tools. Over its five years, Impact Hub has become Singapore’s largest community of creatives, entrepreneurs, and technologists. Member startups have collectively raised over US$180 million since its inception. This vibrant community includes more than 650 entrepreneurs, professionals, and freelancers, and boasts partnerships with 50 corporate, university, and government-linked organizations.
Grace Sai, CEO and Co-Founder of Impact Hub Singapore, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it establishes Impact Hub as a central destination for both local and international entrepreneurs seeking to establish and expand their businesses in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Impact Hub Singapore provides a wide array of services for startups, including mentoring, incubation, networking events, fundraising workshops, expert consultations, marketing assistance, and access to a global network of over 100 Impact Hubs across five continents, connecting them with over 20,000 members.
Bradley Horowitz, VP of Product Management at Google and head of Google for Entrepreneurs, commended Grace Sai and her team for their significant contributions to the Singapore startup community. He highlighted Impact Hub as a leader in innovation, not just within Singapore, but throughout Southeast Asia. He expressed Google for Entrepreneurs’ eagerness to collaborate with Impact Hub Singapore’s members and provide them with valuable Google resources.
As part of the Google for Entrepreneurs network, Impact Hub Singapore and the broader Singapore startup community gain access to a range of new resources, including:
● Google for Entrepreneurs Global Programmes: Hub members can now apply for programs such as Google for Entrepreneurs Exchange, a series of week-long, industry-specific immersion programs designed to assist startups in entering new markets and gaining insights, and Google Demo Day, an event showcasing promising startups from around the world to top investors and mentors in Silicon Valley.
● A Global Network: Hub members will join a global community of over 50 organizations spanning 135 countries, including six Google-owned and operated campuses dedicated to entrepreneurs. Impact Hub members gain access to the Google for Entrepreneurs Passport program, which grants them access to over 20 Google partner spaces globally, including Seoul, Korea.
● Google Resources: Eligible startups can benefit from Google product offers and receive local and international mentorship from Google advisors.
Inspired by Google’s campus, Impact Hub Singapore is also expanding its collaborative opportunities:
● Starting in August, Impact Hub Singapore will offer 30 free coworking desks daily, aiming to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for individuals interested in technology, as well as current and aspiring entrepreneurs.
