To share its high-quality food with a global audience, the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) has introduced the Plant Based Sweets Series. These sweets are made entirely from plant-based ingredients, sourced from Tokyo. This means they are free of animal products, including bone char-refined sugar, honey, and alcohol.
Products within JR East Group featuring the Plant Based logo are carefully selected. The logo design, with its depiction of plants embraced by leaves, signifies the exclusive use of plant-based ingredients. Furthermore, the inclusion of “JAPAN QUALITY” underscores that the product is made in Japan and adheres to the highest quality standards.
The initial offerings in the Plant Based Sweets Series come from three esteemed Tokyo confectionery makers:
TOKYO CAMPANELLA BROWN
I’ll Company’s Tokyo Campanella Brown features dairy-free chocolate sandwiched between three crispy, butter-free French biscuits. The biscuits are crafted from whole wheat flour and sweetened with 100% pure sudakito sugar derived from sugarcane grown on the Amami Islands.
