Embedding Photos
Instagram also provides a manual photo embedding option. This alternative is useful if pasting the URL doesn’t work or if you desire greater control (such as hiding the description).
As before, you’ll need to locate your photo, but embedding requires using instagram.com; the app won’t suffice. Navigate to the full-page view of the photo with the unique URL.
This time, instead of copying the URL, click the ellipsis (…) in the bottom right corner and choose Embed.
Instagram will generate an embed code for you to copy. To omit the caption, uncheck the Include caption box.
Now you can embed the photo into any post or page. As before, create a new post/page or edit an existing one. Switch to the Text editor and locate the desired photo position. Hit enter twice to make space and paste the embed code.
It might look like Instagram generates, but switch back to the Visual editor, and the added photo will appear. Don’t panic if you see a grey space instead of the image; it will display correctly on your website’s front end.
Publish or update your post/page, and voila! You’ve successfully embedded an Instagram photo.
