The Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore has revealed its plan to expand its product lineup in Singapore beyond smartphones and smartwatches to include laptops. This new laptop selection features the latest HUAWEI MateBook 13 and MateBook X Pro.
Xu Chengfei, MD of Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore, stated, “We are thrilled to introduce our latest line of laptops in Singapore, showcasing a blend of premium design and impressive performance. In recent years, we’ve achieved significant growth locally, demonstrating a loyal customer base eager for innovative, top-quality products. As we broaden our product offerings in the market, we aim to provide our customers with a seamless and interconnected user experience across our entire product ecosystem.”
The HUAWEI MateBook 13, first unveiled at CES 2019 and MWC 2019, is a 13" portable device designed for the everyday consumer, balancing stylish aesthetics with powerful functionality. With an 88% screen-to-body ratio, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 takes the FullView design concept to a new level. Unlike many 16:9 laptops, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 boasts a 3:2 display, enabling productivity applications like Microsoft Word to present more content on the screen for user convenience. The HUAWEI MateBook 13 also features a vibrant 2K display (2,160x1,440 at 200ppi) with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and full support for the RGB color spectrum.
Equipped with an 8th Generation (Whiskey Lake) Intel Core i7/i5 processor, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 is 40% faster than its predecessor. It also comes with a high-speed PCIe solid state drive (SSD). Additionally, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 boasts a NVIDIA GeForce MX 150 graphics card with 2 GB of GDDR5 memory. For efficient cooling, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 utilizes the HUAWEI Shark Fin Design 2.0, which employs high-speed fans to generate substantial airflow for optimal thermal management. This dual-fan setup ensures peak cooling performance without unwanted noise.
At MWC 2019, Huawei also introduced the newly enhanced flagship HUAWEI MateBook X Pro, a device that blends portability, a premium FullView display, cutting-edge performance, and smart connectivity features. The 14" HUAWEI MateBook X Pro, available in Space Grey, is designed for professionals and content creators seeking both mobility and productivity in their devices.
With ultra-thin bezels surrounding the screen, the Ultra FullView display achieves a remarkable 91% screen-to-body ratio on the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro, presented in a distinctive 3:2 aspect ratio. This 13.9" LTPS panel supports up to 3K resolution (3,000x2,000) and displays 100% of the sRGB color gamut. It also features 10-point multi-touch functionality, offering users an intuitive way to interact with their device.
The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is equipped with the immersive Dolby Atmos Sound System. Huawei collaborated with Dolby to custom-design the quad speakers, delivering an exceptional audio experience. The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is also outfitted with a long-lasting 57.4Wh battery that can provide up to 12 hours* of use.
