HTC has launched its latest flagship phone, the HTC One M9. This new addition to the HTC One line combines the best features of the award-winning HTC One M7 and HTC One M8. The result is an iconic, all-metal unibody design, distinguished by a durable, two-tone silver and rose gold¹ finish. A brushed silver back panel surrounds the display.
“HTC is known for pushing the boundaries in the mobile industry,” said Cher Wang, Chairwoman of HTC. “The HTC One M9 achieves this once again with its striking elegance and design, coupled with intelligent features that enhance your world and connect you more deeply with what matters most. The HTC One M9 is more than just a phone; it’s an extension of yourself.”
The new HTC Sense 7 experience redesigns the home screen, bringing the most relevant apps to the forefront based on the user’s location. An enhanced HTC BlinkFeed also utilizes location data to suggest points of interest, news, and other pertinent information.

The HTC One M9 boasts a 20-megapixel main camera with a protective sapphire cover lens to prevent scratches. It can also record videos in 4K resolution. For low-light situations, there’s the UltraPixel front-facing camera. This camera utilizes dynamic auto exposure and UltraPixels that capture three times more light than conventional cameras, resulting in clearer, more natural, and well-balanced self-portraits in all lighting conditions.
Capturing creative photos is effortless with HTC Sense 7 and HTC’s EYE Experience software. New editing features include Shapes, Prismatic, Elements, and Bokeh. The Zoe app allows for music² integration and lets friends create remixes using their photos. The updated One Gallery simplifies photo management, allowing searches by date, location, event, album, or even visual content with Image Match.
The HTC One M9, equipped with HTC BoomSound, guarantees a powerful audio experience. The signature dual front-facing speakers of the HTC One series are now enhanced with 5.1 channel Dolby Surround sound³ simulation, delivering an immersive, cinematic audio experience without the need for headphones or external speakers. The combined technologies of HTC BoomSound, Dolby Audio, a precision-tuned sound profile, and Qualcomm Immersive Audio ensure exceptional sound quality.
Going beyond the phone, HTC Connect allows users to connect to compatible TVs and external speakers from brands like Harman Kardon with a simple three-finger swipe on the screen. HTC Connect also integrates with Qualcomm AllPlay and Blackfire Research wireless technologies, enabling content streaming from the smartphone to various nearby entertainment devices. The playlist feature, powered by Qualcomm AllPlay, allows multiple smartphones to share a single speaker.
The HTC One M9 will be offered with a variety of unique and customizable accessories, including the second-generation HTC Dot View case. This case adds a touch of retro personalization with its new features and color options. The transparent back keeps the smartphone protected while showcasing its design.
An optional IP68 water-resistant Active Case and Active Headset will also be available.
The HTC One M9 will launch globally in mid-March and will be offered in dual-tone silver and rose gold, single-tone gunmetal grey, single-tone gold, and dual-tone gold and pink.
