HP has introduced a suite of commercial mobility solutions aimed at boosting workplace productivity. The offerings include eight new mobile devices and accessories designed to simplify business processes.
Anneliese Olson, HP Asia-Pacific and Japan VP and GM of Personal Computing, highlighted how these products address evolving workplace dynamics, workforce trends, and work styles, ultimately reshaping workflows.
HP has developed a comprehensive mobility solution catering to diverse businesses, including those in specialized sectors like education, field service, healthcare, public safety, and retail. They also launched HP Touchpoint Manager, a cloud-based solution for managing and securing PCs, mobile devices, and major operating systems, including Apple iOS, Google Android, and Microsoft Windows.
Serena Yong, GM of Printing and Personal Systems at HP Singapore and Malaysia, emphasized the impact of mobile devices on work and life, stating that “Mobile devices are changing how we live and work, and they pose significant challenges to IT departments who have to support their now mobile workforces while keeping corporate data managed and secure." She added, “HP is the world’s largest commercial computing provider to the world’s largest companies. No other company is better suited to address commercial mobility than HP. Our devices feature built-in security, manageability, and durability packaged in innovative, stylish designs that end users crave.”
Instead of adapting consumer devices for the enterprise, HP is taking a modular approach. They are designing secure devices specifically for business use while supporting both Android and Windows to provide customers with flexibility and choice. The new devices, encompassing tablets, 2-in-1s, and notebooks, prioritize built-in security features like remote wipes and can be customized for specific business needs.
