Hotel Jen, a new brand from the Shangri-La Group, is turning one year old on March 31, 2016. To mark this milestone, the two Singapore locations, Hotel Jen Tanglin and Hotel Jen Orchardgateway, are joining their sister hotels across nine Asian-Pacific cities for a grand birthday celebration. Each location will host unique events reflecting their city’s character, from a Mad Hatter’s tea party in Beijing to street art-inspired menus in Brisbane and a pool party in the Maldives.
On March 31st, both Singapore hotels invite guests to a lively hawker-themed buffet dinner, taking place at J65 (Hotel Jen Tanglin) and Makan@Jen (Hotel Jen Orchardgateway) respectively. Starting at 6 pm, the buffets will showcase popular local hawker fare alongside their regular international offerings. J65 at Hotel Jen Tanglin will also feature pop-up stalls from local culinary stars as part of their commitment to supporting local talent. These include:
- The Hungry Bazterdz, serving grilled soy garlic chicken with truffle fries or nacho fries, along with jerk chicken and fries.
- A new Kaffles specialty waffle shop, offering buttermilk and Thai milk tea waffles with maple syrup, mini cones, and icing sugar.
- Nomad the Gallant Coffee, Hotel Jen’s resident coffee specialist, serving Thai iced tea.
A complimentary shuttle bus will run between the two hotels from 6 pm to 8 pm, allowing guests to experience “That Jen Feeling” at both locations. The celebration culminates at 8:30 pm with a cake-cutting ceremony at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway’s rooftop bar, BayWatch@Jen. This grand cake will incorporate local flavors, scents, and designs, offering a true taste of Singapore.

Tickets are S$31++ per adult, with children aged 6 to 12 at half price.
