GuocoLand will oversee the operation of two new AccorHotels establishments: the Sofitel Singapore City Centre at Tanjong Pagar Centre in Singapore and the Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara in Damansara City, Kuala Lumpur. These additions contribute a total of 534 rooms to AccorHotel’s luxury brand.

Raymond Choong, President and CEO of GuocoLand Group, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with AccorHotels, highlighting the shared vision for creating modern, convenient spaces within bustling business districts. He emphasized that the hotels’ strategic locations within the developments would provide convenient access to top-notch business and dining facilities, enhancing the overall experience for tenants, residents, and visitors alike.

Michael Issenberg, Chairman and CEO of AccorHotels Asia Pacific, reciprocated the excitement, stating that the Sofitel brand aligns perfectly with the prestigious lifestyle and business hubs that GuocoLand is developing. He believes these hotels will become iconic landmarks, embodying the spirit of innovation and urban living in two of Asia’s most vibrant cities.

Slated to open later this year, the 222-room Sofitel Singapore City Centre will be an integral part of the multi-billion dollar Tanjong Pagar Centre, a groundbreaking mixed-use development in Singapore. Strategically situated between Chinatown and the central business district, Tanjong Pagar Centre will boast Singapore’s tallest building at 290 meters, alongside residential and office spaces, retail and event areas, and a luxurious Sofitel hotel, all interconnected by parklands and directly accessible from the MRT station.

Guests at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre can enjoy a state-of-the-art Virgin Active gym, participate in public activities, and attend events at the Centre’s Urban Park. This expansive 150,000 square foot park, with a capacity of 2,000 people, will be an ideal venue for public fitness events such as Zumba and yoga.

The Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer luxurious amenities including an outdoor pool, an executive lounge with panoramic city views, a spacious 620 square meter ballroom, eight meeting rooms, and multiple restaurants and bars.

Meanwhile in Malaysia, the 312-room Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara will be a key component of Damansara City, an 8.5-acre integrated development in the upscale Damansara Heights neighborhood. Set to launch this year, Damansara City will feature two Grade A office towers, two luxury high-rise residences, a lifestyle mall with a strong focus on food and beverage outlets, and the luxury hotel.

As the first internationally branded luxury hotel in the area, the Sofitel will hold a prime position within the Damansara Heights precinct. Its strategic location near the KL Sentral transportation hub and established townships like Bangsar and Petaling Jaya makes it ideal for corporate clients, leisure travelers, and the MICE market. A new MRT station adjacent to Damansara City will provide seamless connectivity to the rest of Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley.

The Sofitel will feature a lobby lounge, a deli, three restaurants and bars, a Club Millesime executive lounge on the 22nd floor, a So Spa, a So Fit gym, an outdoor swimming pool with a pool bar, an 840 square meter ballroom, and five meeting rooms.
