BMW Group Asia is hosting BMW World of Passion and Joy at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 25th and 26th, 2018.
This event offers visitors a chance to experience the latest BMW and MINI models, explore classic BMW heritage cars, and immerse themselves in The MINI Story. Performances and interactive activities will be available throughout the event.
Christopher Wehner, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, emphasized that the event bridges BMW’s past, present, and future. He highlighted the debut of four new models, including the highly anticipated BMW Concept X7 iPerformance, and two additional showcases, making this a remarkable event for Singapore.
Here are some of the event’s main attractions:
Launch of the first-ever BMW i8 Roadster: Experience this plug-in hybrid convertible, capable of reaching 0-100kmh in 4.6 seconds.
Launch of the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and Gran Tourer: These models feature a redesigned sporty exterior, new sport seats, a black panel instrument display, an electronic gear selector, and a new dual-clutch transmission.
Launch of the all-new BMW X4: This all-wheel-drive sports activity coupé boasts a bold design with a wider stance, M Sport suspension, and variable sport steering.
Showcase of the all-new BMW 8 Series: Representing a new era for sports cars, the BMW 8 Series combines powerful performance with long-distance comfort and luxury.
Showcase of the all-new BMW M2 Competition: Equipped with a new biturbo inline six-cylinder engine, this car goes from 0-100kmh in 4.2 seconds. Its striking design includes new M mirrors, a redesigned kidney grille, new M alloy wheels, M sport bucket seats, and an illuminated M2 badge.
Showcase of the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance: As the newest member of the BMW X family, this top-of-the-line model expands BMW’s presence in the luxury vehicle market.
BMW Heritage cars: Admire iconic BMW models, including the BMW M5 (E39), BMW M3 CSL (E46), BMW 327 Cabrio, and the Isetta.
BMW models available for test drives: Get behind the wheel of various BMW models, from the BMW 2 Series to the BMW 7 Series, and experience the innovative BMW i3 and BMW X models.
Bike stunt performances: Witness the incredible bike handling skills of professional mountain bike stunt rider, Igor Obu.
Virtual reality experiences: Immerse yourself in a virtual world and experience the thrill of driving a BMW in a whole new way.

The MINI Story: This exhibition delves into five chapters of MINI’s history: Creative Solutions, MINI In Design, Personalities, Makers, and Personalisation. Visitors can express their creativity, take home a souvenir from the MINI photo booth, and step back in time at the Alec Issigonis design studio.
Designer Mini by Paul Smith: This unique car, designed by Paul Smith, was one of three special edition Minis released by Rover for Mini’s 40th anniversary in 1998. Inspired by his 1997 collection, Smith’s design features 86 stripes in 26 different colors.
