Dell showcased a fresh lineup of devices designed to deliver the most captivating and complete computing experience currently available. The unveiling took place at the Dell First Look Showcase & Gaming Event, hosted at the Dell Exclusive Store @ Plaza Singapura in Singapore. The event also featured a gaming showdown with some of Singapore’s top e-sports athletes and Ray Wah, SVP and GM of Dell’s Consumer and Small Business Product Group, going head-to-head in Microsoft’s latest racing game.

This marked the first time that Dell’s business-oriented products, like those in the Latitude and OptiPlex lines, were made available to consumers at the Dell Exclusive Store in Singapore. Typically, these products are offered through channel partners instead of retail locations. However, this new product range is now up for purchase and customization directly in-store.

Among the new products are the Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1, the 15-inch laptop featuring the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors, and the Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop. Crafted for those who are constantly on the move or for multi-user homes, the new Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 combines stunning visuals and potent performance in a compact package.

Chi Tran, CEO and Co-founder of Loop, highlighted how co-working spaces and Dell’s laptops complement the needs of today’s professionals. “Our philosophy is that work can happen anywhere and collaboration is key,” he stated. “Co-working spaces thrive on a diverse group of individuals - nobody wants to be confined to a single desk. The gig economy is all about flexibility and travel.” As an XPS user, Tran values portability: “Being mobile is crucial, so form factor is paramount for me.”

Users can immerse themselves in visuals on a narrow-bordered FHD in-plane switching (IPS) touch display. This display also supports active pen input for tasks such as digital drawing, writing, and note-taking. Thanks to Dell’s SmartByte streaming technology, consumers can enjoy uninterrupted movies and video chats. This technology prioritizes streaming and conferencing traffic over other network activities. Additionally, the device boasts extended battery life and quieter operation through standard solid-state drives (SSDs) or optional PCIe non-volatile memory express (NVMe) SSDs.

Jarebb Chua, Country Manager for Consumer Business in Malaysia & Singapore at Dell, emphasized the company’s commitment to its customers. “From our Inspiron range to the well-regarded XPS 13 powered by 8th Generation Intel Core processors, the introduction of these advanced devices at our revamped Dell Exclusive Store underscores this dedication,” he said.

For users who prefer a traditional laptop experience, the new Inspiron 7000 laptops feature a sleek, lightweight design with slim bezels, available in Platinum Silver or Pink Champagne. The 15" Inspiron 7000 boasts a vibrant FHD IPS display, delivering sharp, detailed images with wide viewing angles without compromising picture quality. These laptops harness the power, responsiveness, and hardware-enabled security of the 8th Generation Intel Core processor.

Consumers can now enjoy superior performance and immersive experiences with the new Inspiron range. This is made possible by integrating the latest 8th Generation Intel Core processors, DDR4 memory, and adaptable connectivity features like USB Type-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support.

“Dell’s global leadership in personal computing innovation and gaming allows us to create the best gaming experiences for every type of gamer," said Wah. “We are dedicated to supporting the growth of e-sports and making gaming a global phenomenon. With the new Inspiron 7000 series, we are delivering an amazing video and audio experience along with exceptional gaming performance, all at a price point that is accessible.”

The new Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop packs a punch with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 discrete graphics, NVIDIA Max Q Design technology, 7th Gen Intel quad-core CPU choices, and dual fans to ensure cool and quiet operation even during demanding gaming sessions. Its anti-glare IPS wide viewing angle FHD display ensures exceptional clarity, while Waves MaxxAudio Pro software delivers precise audio.

A redesigned 2x2 Wi-Fi antenna configuration enhances wireless performance, and the SmartByte software prioritizes gaming and video content. This ensures a smooth gaming and video streaming experience, even when downloading large files. The laptop’s quick-charge battery reaches 80% capacity in just an hour. A Thunderbolt 3 multi-use port enables connections to multiple devices, including support for up to two 4K displays, with transfer speeds reaching up to 40Gbps.

The XPS 13 now boasts up to 44% better performance, attributed to its 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors and Dynamic Power Mode. With four cores instead of two, these processors enable exceptional performance even when multitasking and running multiple applications simultaneously. The XPS 13, recognized as the world’s smallest 13.3" laptop, also offers an exceptional viewing experience. This is thanks to its optional Quad HD+ InfinityEdge display (with touch capability) which delivers sharp visuals and vibrant, accurate colors.

John Gillooly, Technical Product Marketing Manager, Asia Pacific South at NVIDIA, said that NVIDIA G-SYNC is ideal for e-sports. G-SYNC delivers smoother, tear-free gameplay at refresh rates up to 240 Hz, and is found in Alienware’s new premium displays. To prevent blurring and deliver crisper moving images, the backlight pulses 144 times a second, he said.

G-SYNC, an adaptive refresh rate technology, ensures smoother, tear-free gameplay with refresh rates of up to 240 Hz. To eliminate blurring and produce sharper moving images, G-SYNC refreshes the backlight 144 times per second. G-SYNC also tackles screen tearing, a phenomenon that happens due to synchronization issues between the display and video feed, by constantly adjusting the monitor’s resolution. Screen tearing results in information from multiple frames being displayed simultaneously.

The event also saw the launch of the latest Alienware Gaming Monitors, Keyboards, and Mice.
