The store opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting.
Dell recently launched a new Exclusive Store in Singapore’s Plaza Singapura mall. This location was chosen for its accessibility and retail focus. The store displays Dell’s complete line of consumer products, as well as a dedicated virtual reality (VR) experience zone.
The store is set up for customers to try before they buy. It has experience suites featuring Dell’s newest XPS, Inspiron, and Alienware products. This includes award winners from the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show and Computex 2016 in Taiwan.
During the festivities, two lions tossed lettuce and orange peel, which they had ’eaten’, at Dell VIPs as a gesture of good fortune. The number ‘1823’, considered lucky, was also left behind.
At the store, shoppers can experience VR using Alienware’s VR-optimized products, which were recently announced at E3 in the US.
“This new concept store is a key part of our strategy to showcase our products and allow customers to experience the power and user-friendliness of Dell technology,” stated Rakesh Mandal, Dell’s GM of Client Solutions for South Asia and Korea.
“Dell has been a leader in designing solutions that enable new technologies like virtual reality. Our award-winning Alienware line has set the standard for VR configuration requirements, delivering an exceptional experience that we’re excited to showcase here.”
Daniel Boey, considered a leading figure in Singapore fashion, is an ambassador for Dell. During the launch, he discussed his positive experience transitioning from Mac to the XPS 13 with Jarebb Chua, Dell’s Country Manager for Consumer Business in Singapore and Malaysia. Boey highlighted the XPS 13’s user-friendliness, portability, and summarized his experience as “stylishly efficient.”
The Alienware section offers visitors a chance to try VR gaming with the HTC Vive. One of the available games is Fruit Ninja for VR, where players slice fruit while dodging bombs.
Visitors can try their hand at VR gaming in the Alienware section. However, it’s worth noting that those passing by can also observe the experience.

One of the available products is the Dell XPS 15.

The store also offers Dell-branded accessories.

Customers are welcome to explore and try out laptops, displays, and PCs at the store.
