The buffet.
If you’re searching for a venue to hold a corporate Iftar gathering in Singapore during Ramadan, consider the halal-certified 21 On Rajah. Situated within Days Hotel Singapore at Zhongshan Park, this all-day dining restaurant is presenting a selection of Mediterranean and Asian Iftar buffets each evening.
Chef de Cuisine Faustino Picardo Ines Jr and his culinary team have crafted diverse menus throughout the week. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 21 On Rajah will showcase the cuisine of a particular Mediterranean country for their dinner buffet. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, guests can relish a “Mediterr-Asian” buffet that blends Mediterranean and Asian culinary delights.
Mondays: Italian Fiesta
Mondays offer a culinary journey to Italy. The selection boasts favorites like potato gnocchi bathed in gorgonzola cream sauce, braised lamb shank in a refreshing mint sauce, slow-cooked osso buco, and calamari enhanced with a spicy aglio olio. Four unique sauces will be provided to accompany the pastas: pesto, tomato bolognaise, mushroom cream, and chilli aglio olio.
Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends: Go Mediterr-Asian
The Mediterr-Asian evenings spotlight a seafood display on ice, featuring delicacies like tiger prawns, green mussels, scallops, and snow crab. Guests can also anticipate classic Mediterranean dishes such as lamb moussaka, chicken charcuterie and beef ensemble, baba ganoush muhammara dip, alongside traditional Asian choices like lamb and chicken satay, assam Nonya fish, Ayam panggang, and Singapore-style chili slipper lobster.
Wednesdays: Viva Espana
Indulge in flavorful beef albondigas (meatballs) seasoned with smoked paprika, comforting Spanish lamb stew with white beans, refreshing fish fillet escabeche and crema de la Madrid, and much more. Diners can savor seafood and chicken paella, along with tortilla patatas ala Espanol (Spanish omelet with potatoes) prepared fresh.
Fridays: Moroccan Feasts
Friday nights transport diners to Morocco with a feast infused with aromatic spices. The buffet presents appetizers such as Arabic fattoush salad, hummus, and potato salad in ras el hanout (a North African spice blend), followed by main courses like tender spring chicken in Moorish Rabat spice, succulent slipper lobster coated in a homemade harissa sauce, flavorful mussels with herbs, and sautéed zucchini accompanied by tzatziki. Concluding the meal with the signature Moroccan baklava is highly recommended.
A highlight of the buffets is the carving station, where guests can sample the signature slow-roasted US prime ribeye accompanied by shallot jus and 21 On Rajah’s distinctive homemade sauce, rock-salted whole salmon drizzled with creamy dill sauce, and succulent roast lamb.
The well-received Asian pasta live station will be available every evening during the month of Ramadan, rather than on select days. Pasta dishes are paired with local sauces such as Singapore chili crab, Nonya laksa, and aglio olio hae bee hiam (dried chili shrimp paste).
For those seeking a more intimate setting, the Private Dining Room, offering a picturesque view of the adjacent Zhongshan Park, can comfortably accommodate up to 35 individuals. Reservations for this room are essential.
Following Ramadan, 21 On Rajah will celebrate Hari Raya Puasa with a special offer: enjoy a 50% discount for the second diner. This promotion is valid from July 17, 2015, to July 31, 2015, and applies to both lunch and dinner buffets.
