My work on restoring the 4002 continues, and today involved polishing the hood – a task that’s quite a workout! The plexiglass hood had some noticeable scratches:

I began by using 200 grit sandpaper to create a consistent surface:

Then I gradually polished it using Micromesh polishing cloths:
