The luxurious, private pool villa resort Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara has introduced a new wellness program with an a la carte approach.
Situated between a private beach and a freshwater lagoon in Salalah, Oman, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara provides a serene setting for guests to focus on their wellness goals. The Balance Wellness by Anantara program offers personalized wellness packages, starting with a consultation to determine each guest’s needs and objectives. Guided by trained professionals and based on their length of stay, guests can select from various healthy meals, activities, and therapies.
“At Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, our core value is exceptional customer service, and we aimed to create a truly customized experience for our wellness guests,” says Virginia Cogliati, Director of Spa at the resort. “Our distinctive private pool villas offer guests seeking greater seclusion during their wellness journey the option to enjoy activities and meals on their personal pool terrace.”
Available as three, five, or seven-day packages, the retreats include revitalizing spa treatments, purifying therapies, and nourishing meals, alongside individual activity sessions like yoga and hiking along Salalah’s mountainous coastline. The program’s full-board dining experience emphasizes nutrition, designed to promote well-being and provide the body with optimal fuel. Guests will also enjoy additional discounts on all spa and wellness treatments, depending on their chosen package duration.
Italian vegan chef Valeria Agnelutto crafted the Balance Wellness by Anantara menu. These dishes, including Italian pasta e fagioli (beans), chickpea burgers with rosemary, parsley, and vegan mayonnaise, are crafted to detoxify and energize the body while bursting with flavor. The three-course meals also feature starters like avocado tartare with cucumber and dates and finish with raw tiramisu for dessert. Each dish includes a detailed nutritional breakdown and is served with a vitamin-rich raw juice.
A highlight of the wellness program is the opportunity to experience Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara’s opulent hammam (steam bath) – the only one of its kind in the region. The ritual begins with a steam bath to prepare the skin for a black soap cleanse and an exfoliation with a kessa mitt* to remove impurities. Following the steam and scrub, a Moroccan Rhassoul** treatment nourishes and rehydrates the skin. Other healing therapies include Kundalini massage – centering on the kundalini, or “serpent” of life force energy at the base of the spine – and Shirodhara, an Ayurvedic therapy that focuses on pouring liquids over the head.
