Acronis introduces updated backup solutions

Acronis, a major provider of hybrid cloud data protection, has released new versions of its Acronis Backup and Acronis Backup Cloud solutions. Designed for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), these updated solutions offer enhanced performance, quality, and reliability. They also include new features for a streamlined buying and upgrade process, such as an easy transition to the upcoming Acronis Backup 12 solution.

Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) research highlights that data backup and recovery are consistently top IT priorities for organizations of all sizes, particularly mid-sized businesses. Acronis Backup, version 11.7

Acronis Backup solutions enable swift, one-click recovery of individual files, application data, or entire systems. Acronis Backup caters to businesses with five to 50 employees and one to five servers.

The latest 11.7 version offers these key advantages:

  • Enhanced Price/Performance: Variable block deduplication allows for storing 24 times more data using the same amount of RAM, reducing overall storage expenses. Customers can expect faster Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and reduced downtime costs with up to 40% faster recovery from deduplicated storage.
  • Accelerated Backup: Backup network file system (NFS) shared folders and experience enhanced backup to NFS-based network-attached storage (NAS), SMB/CIFS, FTP, and SFTP.
  • Expanded Operating System Support: Support includes Microsoft Exchange 2016, Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 Tech Preview 4, VMware vSphere 6, Linux kernel up to 4.4, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x.

Acronis Backup Cloud, version 5

Experience a preview of Acronis Backup 12 with the new Acronis Backup Cloud version 5.
