AccorHotels, a major player in the travel and hospitality industry, is expanding its luxury presence in the Asia Pacific region with multiple high-end hotel openings scheduled in the coming months. This initiative will primarily involve the expansion of their Sofitel and Pullman brands, which are part of AccorHotels’ luxury and upscale portfolio. Other prestigious brands in this collection include Raffles Hotel, Fairmont, MGallery by Sofitel, Swissôtel, and Grand Mercure.
These openings follow the successful August debut of the Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara, a 312-room establishment situated in the heart of Malaysia’s capital city. Following closely on its heels is the much-anticipated Sofitel Singapore City Centre, along with the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Pullman Brisbane Airport, and a relaunch of the Sofitel Wellington. Rounding out the group’s 2017 luxury expansion in the Asia Pacific region is the opening of the Pullman Shenyang Ginza.
“Building on our success in 2016, where we added 86 hotels to our Asia Pacific network – with 58% of those rooms in the luxury and upscale sector – these new developments demonstrate our ongoing commitment to providing our guests with exceptional accommodations in key locations throughout the region,” said Issenberg, Chairman and CEO of AccorHotels Asia Pacific. “The Asia Pacific region is at the forefront of global demand for luxury and upscale travel experiences, and these six hotels are a testament to our dedication to expanding our presence in this thriving market.”
