- Choosing Art You’ll need to use broader keywords to yield any substantial results. My search for “health food” yielded only one (rather uninspired) suggestion, while “health” worked perfectly fine. While I’d recommend exploring other tools before resorting to this one, if you’re willing to sift through the results, you might stumble upon a topic that resonates with you.
7. Content Strategy Helper
The Content Strategy Helper by Built Visible is actually a Google Doc tool that conveniently generates blog topic ideas directly within your Google spreadsheet. This tool gathers information from various sources, including Google News, Google Insights, Reddit, YouTube, Topsy, to identify trending stories. As an added bonus, it also suggests outreach contacts for related topics, which can always come in handy.
Unlike traditional blog topic generators, this tool focuses on providing information about currently popular stories. However, staying informed about these trending topics can be invaluable for shaping your content strategy and identifying newsworthy stories you might want to capitalize on. While not a blog topic generator in the conventional sense, the Content Strategy Helper can be a valuable addition to your content toolkit. However, if you already rely on your own preferred methods for monitoring trending news, you might not find Content Strategy Helper to be particularly groundbreaking.

Buzzsumo is a personal favorite of mine. Similar to the previous tool, it highlights currently popular articles (rather than solely focusing on article concepts). It’s incredibly user-friendly - you can search by topic or website URL (always a good idea to keep tabs on what kind of topic articles your competitors are publishing!). Don’t forget to experiment with the filters! To focus on newsworthy stories, you can limit your search results to the past week or month.
